    Yes, you do. If you apartment price is more than AED 2,000,000 - you are eligible for a golden resident card for 10 years.
  • Do I pay any taxes on the property?
    No, there is no property tax in Dubai.
  • Do I pay any tax from my rental income?
    No, there is no such tax in Dubai.
  • Do I pay a personal income tax in Dubai?
    No, such tax doesn’t exist in Dubai.
  • How much does it cost to register a property in Dubai?
    It’s costs a one time payment of 4% of the property cost + AED 4200 if it is a ready property or AED 5250 if it’s a property under construction.
  • Am I allowed to sell my property mid construction?
    Yes, as long as 34% of your property price is paid - you can resell your property at any point of time.
  • Can I take a mortgage for my off-plan (under construction) property in Dubai?
    Yes, you can. Certain developers offer such services.
  • If my property goes up in price - can I release the equity?
    Yes, you can. For example, your property price was AED 1,000,000 and after some time it became AED 1,500,000. You are eligible to take out the equity at the level of 60% from the AED 1,500,000.

  • What are the guarantees that my property will get delivered on time?
    All your payments for your property go directly into Escrow account of the developer. This account is governmentally controlled, hence every brick that is laid and every dirham that is spent - is strictly controlled by the government.
